Do I need a lot of followers?

Short answer

No. There's no minimum, and follower count isn't used to work out your share of the pool.

Answered by The Breadshare team

No. There is no follower minimum to join Breadshare, and your follower count plays no part in how the pool is shared.

What counts instead

Your share comes from what your campaign video actually did: its views, its engagement and how often it was shared, measured against the other videos in the same campaign.

That means a creator with 8,000 followers whose video takes off can earn more from the pool than one with 300,000 followers whose video didn't land.

And if my video doesn't take off?

You still receive the campaign's base pay, as long as your video was approved and posted. That's what base pay is for.

Does a bigger audience help at all?

It can, because more followers often means more early views. But it's a head start, not a guarantee, and it isn't something we pay for directly.

We'll cover the reasoning behind this in its own post later this week.
